The 𝟓 𝙢𝙤𝙨𝙩 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙤𝙣 𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙨 we saw:
❌ Saving your resume as “resume3”, “resume_name”, and “Final_Resume”.
✅ Save as “LastName_FirstName_Resume” and as a PDF (unless job application says otherwise). Example –> “Eckstein_AJ_Resume”❌ Extending your resume past 1 PAGE.
✅ Yes, it is tough, especially as you gain more experience but focus on inputting the experience that is most relevant to the job that you are applying to. Highly recommend having multiple resumes tailored to specific roles.❌ Explaining WHAT you did
✅ Focusing on YOUR IMPACT and RESULTS❌ Having a completely qualitative resume
✅ QUANTIFYING your experience by adding more DATA and numbers❌ Just highlighting your professional experience
✅ Adding an INTERESTS section! Yes, it is okay to talk about your hobbies outside of work. This will help you create a bond with the interviewer outside of sheer professional experience.
